In partnership with Virginia CARES & People, INC, Inthrive Film Festival on May 2 & 3 for two days of films, panelists, artists, and community partners who have survived incarceration and gone on to thrive!
Come be a part of the community of incarceration survivors, advocates, allies, and friends that are working to remove barriers to successful reentry!
Be moved by films from incarceration survivors. Be inspired by spoken word performed by people still behind bars. Hear filmmakers share how they went from behind bars to behind the camera. Meet entrepreneurs who have changed their lives and are now pillars of their community. Meet incarceration survivors who are now changing policy at the local and national level by sharing their stories and using their talents.
We're thrilled to have JJ'88 & richie reseda, the creative force behind Songs From The Hole, join us for an inperson discussion about life after incarceration, overcoming obstacles, and using their lives to bring much needed change in our society.
